OVERVIEW



The Defender VL-TEK consists of a large conical baffle strategically placed inside of the flow to manage the gas and liquid separation while the fluid rotates around and beneath the baffle. This rotation provides the sand with a large retention time, allowing it to settle by gravity out of suspension into the bottom of the vessel, where it can be easily drained.

DOME SHAPE

The dome shape forms a vapor lock seal, forcing a separation of the phases and an enhanced separation time.

Prevents any particles retained on the surface from exiting the vessel.

Stops sand from recirculating upward forcing it to settle at the bottom


THE COMMANDER

OVERVIEW



The Commander VL-TEK features an advanced dual cone design which engages the vapor lock to provide the necessary controlled environment needed for immediate gas disengaging with liquid phase separation for enhanced settling of sand.

The sand particles are separated from the fluids with a rapid centrifugal effect and stored at the bottom of the vessel. Sand is then simply drained out the bottom nozzle while in service.

OUTER CONE

Rotates the multiphase inlet stream to an optimized velocity, allowing separation of the gas phase and applying enough centriphetal force through operating range.



INNER CONE


Vapour locks the vessel, aiding the outer cone in generating rotational force, as well as preventing the vessel from flooding without gas flow.


VORTEX BREAKER


Stops sand from recirculating upwards, forcing it to settle at the bottom.
